My Swift Budget ("the App") is an iOS budget management application developed by Yahot KOUASSI. The App is designed to help you track expenses, manage assets, and understand your finances through clear charts and smart insights.
We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: none), how we handle your information, and your rights regarding your data.

My Swift Budget does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information or financial data. All your financial information remains on your self-hosted Actual Budget server, which you control entirely.

Data We Do NOT Collect
My Swift Budget does not collect any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- Financial data (transactions, account balances, budget information)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or analytics data
- Usage statistics or behavioral data
- Cookies or tracking technologies
- IP addresses or network information
How the App Works
My Swift Budget connects directly to your self-hosted Actual Budget server through an open-source HTTP API. This means:
- All your financial data stays on YOUR server
- Communication happens directly between the App and your server
- No data passes through our servers or third-party services
- You maintain complete control over your information
Demo Mode
The App includes a Demo Mode that uses sample data stored locally on your device. This sample data is:
- Generated automatically for demonstration purposes
- Stored only on your device
- Never transmitted to any server
- Deleted when you exit Demo Mode
Data Storage and Security
Since My Swift Budget connects to your self-hosted Actual Budget server, all data storage and security is managed by you. The App does not maintain any servers or databases that store your information.
Any connection credentials (such as server URL or API tokens) you configure in the App are stored securely in your device's local storage using iOS security features and are never transmitted to anyone other than your configured server.
Third-Party Services
My Swift Budget does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or data collection tools. The App operates independently and does not share data with any external services.
The App connects only to the Actual Budget server you specify, which is under your control. Please refer to your Actual Budget server's privacy practices for information about how that software handles data.
Actual Budget Affiliation
My Swift Budget is an independent app and is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by the Actual Budget project. The App uses the open-source Actual Budget HTTP API to connect to your self-hosted server, but operates independently from the Actual Budget organization.
Children's Privacy
My Swift Budget does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is designed to be privacy-safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
Since the App does not collect any data, changes to this policy are unlikely to affect you materially. However, if we ever decide to collect data in the future, we will update this policy and notify users through the App.
Your Rights
Since My Swift Budget does not collect any personal data, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. You maintain complete control over your financial information through your self-hosted Actual Budget server.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information. However, since My Swift Budget does not collect any personal information, these rights do not apply to our App.
European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under GDPR. However, since My Swift Budget does not collect, process, or store any personal data, GDPR regulations regarding data processing do not apply to our App.
